Kubbu 01/29/2010
![]() Kubbu is an interesting online test taking module for teachers to set online tests for their students. The basic account is free and allows you to create 15 quizzes and 30 student accounts. There are a variety of question types that can be used to create the tests - true/false, multiple choice, short answer, text box and more. I often think that my students are more motivated to do well when testing on the computer. Whether they actually do any better or not, is another question, but sometimes that change in attitude has a positive effect. If you like the trial version, you are likely to create a Pro account for more storage. The help guide is a little limited, but there are some tutorials on site to help you out. CommentsSun, 31 Jan 2010 16:20:41 Nice! I don't know why but students are more eager to take a test when they know that it will be online. One word of warning that we learned the hard way, if you are using a mobile lab or lab where multiple students will be taking the same test, be sure that as students start typing the previous students answer doesn't automatically fill in. Only one student mentioned this to us, the rest were perfectly happy to use the previous students answers! Mon, 08 Feb 2010 05:37:28 I have a question regarding this. I think its a great idea but couldn't the students easily just have a cheat sheet written on their computer, or use the internet to look up the answers? or am I missing something?
